About Us

The Guna Group began as a small gold shop known as Guna Jewellers in Patan in 1984 and has since then it has grown to a multi-industry company. In 2009, the group launched Guna Airlines with two Beechcraft 1900 airplanes.

The airline plans to expand with additional fleet by the year 2024

The Guna Group of Industries is led by Mr. Rajendra Shakya, a businessman with vast experience in the Nepalese business industry.  He brings a relentless drive for innovation and revolution in Nepal’s economy. He is regarded as an unconventional thinker, who has led numerous companies in the Guna Group since 1984. Chairing thriving companies ,such as Guna Enterprises, Guna Cinemas, Guna Films, Guna Co-operative, Guna Jewelers, Giant Constructions and directing Kathmandu Engineering College, The Massif Hotel, KIST Medical College, among many, the Guna Group has big plans for the future of Nepal’s booming economy. Upcoming new ventures include Days Inn Hotel, Sunshine Apartment, and Durbar Mall to name a few.

Guna Airlines, in 2021 is now revived, rebranded, and ready to take over the skies of Nepal. The airline currently operates five Jetstream 4100 and two Beechcraft 1900C aircrafts on the domestic routes within the territory of Nepal with plans to expand to larger aircrafts by the year 2024.

The airline offers air ambulance medevac services and corporate charters within Nepal and up to neighboring countries.


OBJECTIVES

The primary objectives of the airline after establishment will be as follows:

  • To re-establish and operate a new concept scheduled airline service in Nepal.
  • To provide exceptional customer service to both domestic passengers and tourists.
