Guna Airlines

Travelling with Pets

Guna Airlines understands that sometimes our customers need to travel with their furry friends. Our goal is to do so as safely and comfortably as possible.

Guna Airlines allows small cats, dogs, fish and turtles/tortoises (up to 8 kg including container) to accompany passengers in the cabin as long as the container fits below the seat in front of you. When transporting live fish, please specify the number of fish and the size and weight of the container as well as the total overall weight.

Cats and dogs weighing more than 8 kilos can travel in the cargo hold.

Birds and rodents cannot travel in the passenger cabin but can be transported in the cargo hold. Please advise us of your plans to travel with animals so that we can confirm their transportation. Please send notification of your intention to carry animals and fish on board Guna Airlines flights at least 24 hours before your flight departure.

While Guna Airlines strives to make transportation of your pets as stress-free as possible, we do request you not to present your pets at the check-in counter without having made preliminary booking for their transportation, failing which we are unable to guarantee that we will be able to carry your animal.

Pet containers should be strong enough to withstand the rigors of flight and ground handling. The container should have leak-proof bottom. Containers with wheels are not permitted.

Aquarium fish are transported only as cargo in special sealed bags, pumped with oxygen (in a pet store) and placed in a sturdy box. Guna Airlines will not be responsible for poorly packed aquatic animals that cannot withstand normal handling and transportation.
